Essay Topics From 1945-1975

Essay Topics From 1945-1975In the last part of this two part article we will examine several essays topics from 1945-1975. Part one focused on topics from 1948-1970. We will begin with a topic that is very popular these days and the topic of Vietnam. This was written by John F. Kennedy in his final speech as President of the United States. There was so much controversy surrounding this topic, it was hard to determine what the stance should be on the subject. So much of the controversy centered around the issue of whether or not Kennedy was 'right' for the position. The National Intelligence Estimate which was released in 1975 said that the issues on the Vietnam war were based on conjecture and the CIA which had Kennedy as a central part in the war effort, concluded that he was wrong in what he did.Other essay topics included the Peace movement, women's rights, ecology, and other topics that have come up recently. Vietnam did not fit well into any of the topics but some of them still s tood by him in spite of the controversy surrounding him. A teacher was asked what topic would be of interest to students. She stated that she would like to see topics on Indian leader, Apollo 17 moon landing, and events in South Africa. So we see that some individuals have interesting topics to talk about. Not many subjects are as exciting as topics that can have an impact on history. I am sure that if you go back in time, you could find a teacher that had something to say about the Vietnam War or the issue of the lack of freedoms that are present in America today. We know that more American troops are coming home than have been going in to fight. We have come to a point that if something does not agree with our culture, it can cause our society to face a lot of negative aspects. If something does not support our concept of equality, we will either ignore it or react angrily towards it. I wonder if there will be a next war?I feel that in order to survive as a country, we must maintain the right to freedom for all Americans. When we discriminate against others, we fail to understand that our society does not have a monopoly on goodness. We must always look for the good in others, to try to balance out any sort of negative issues that may arise. If we fail to do this then we run the risk of becoming like the others who do not value equal rights for their fellow citizens. We should always try to offer a wide variety of opportunities to everyone and that includes children in public and private school. We are going to live forever and when this happens, it is going to be great for future generations to see the different things that we did as a society. When a person was born into a different generation and sees a trend in society that was a decade or two ago, they will be impressed by our progress and think it is a wonderful time to be alive.Today, we are going to take a look at several essay topics from 1945-1975. These topics will look at the nature of education in our society. Hopefully by reading this article, you will be able to identify some topics on your own.
